Privacy policy
Last updated 29 August 2026. This one policy covers both BestTravelHacks.com and the Orlando Trip Planner.
What we collect
Your account. When you sign up we store your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name. Authentication is handled by Clerk; your password, if you have one, never reaches us.
Your trips. Whatever you put into a trip: dates, party size, where you are staying, the places you drag onto days, reservation notes and confirmation numbers, and your travel times.
How you arrived. If you reach us from a link carrying utm_source, utm_medium, or utm_campaign, we keep those three values in a cookie for 90 days and attach them to a trip you create, so we know which articles are useful.
Usage. Vercel Analytics records page views and a small set of product events, such as a trip being created or an itinerary printed. It does not use cookies to follow you across other sites.
What we do not collect
No payment details — the tool is free and we take no payments. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Who else sees it
Convex stores the database. Clerk handles sign-in. Resend delivers the itinerary email you ask for, and an alert to us if a scheduled job fails. Vercel hosts the app. Each sees only what it needs to do that job.
Affiliate links, when we have any, send you to a partner's site. Once you are there, their privacy policy applies, not ours.
We email you an itinerary only when you ask for one, limited to five a day. We do not send marketing email from the planner.
Keeping and deleting
Trips stay until you delete them. Deleting a trip removes it and everything on it. You can export a trip as JSON at any time. To delete your whole account, contact us through https://besttravelhacks.com and we will remove your account and your trips.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to see, correct, export, or delete what we hold about you. Ask us and we will do it.
Children
The planner is for adults planning a family trip. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Any ages you type for your kids are free text on your own trip and are used only to help you plan.
